Fandom Club at Brunswick High School

Posted by Melissa Orth on September 15th, 2016

Coming soon, Tuesday, September 27 at 2:15pm in the Brunswick High School Image result for tardisLibrary, Ms. Jerome, BHS librarian, level 20, team Mystic, and Melissa Orth, CML teen librarian, level 19, team Instinct, will bring back a newly evolved and powered up book club with the different name and mission:  The Fandom Club.

Now meeting every Tuesday after school, any student can attend and chat about all things they geek about: Miyazaki films, Doctor Who, MARVEL villains, mods in Minecraft, or what three words Eleanor wrote to Park. Talk about Stranger Things with your pals (but here’s a tip: ask your librarians who grew up in theImage result for stranger things 80s about it. The show doesn’t have nearly enough jelly bracelets!) or play old style Clue or spend the afternoon in the new MakerSpace. What we do is up to you.

Juggling away your afternoon

Posted by Michael Gorzka on April 19th, 2012

Even if you are all thumbs, you can flip, spin, balance, catch and toss = juggling!  Learn how or perfect your skills each Wednesday afternoon May 16 and  23,  3:30 – 4:30pm. The library is borrowing a Flow Skill Toys Loaner Kit for the month of May so that teens can try their hand at five different types of tools: kendama, juggling ball, diabolo, spinning plate and chatter rings.

No registration is required and each session is a drop-in workshop.
