Donate a Collectible Book

We encourage donations of potentially valuable books for the Collectible & Special Books Sale. Donations must be clean and in very good condition.

  • Please protect your items by wrapping it in paper. This also distinguishes it from hundreds of other books donated each week).
  • Attach your name and address (an address label will do)
  • Deliver it to the library at the main Lending Services Desk or
  • Mail it to 23 Pleasant Street, Brunswick, ME 04011 attention “Collectible Book Sale”).

Your gift will be directed to Sale volunteers.

Our volunteers will evaluate each book to determine its value and likelihood for resale. If the book meets the criteria; it will be described, priced and posted on our Collectible & Special Books Sale web catalog page.

Once donated to Curtis, every book becomes the property of the library and will be used for the benefit of Curtis – whether it’s offered for sale with the Collectible & Special Books or at the general Annual Book Sale, or added to the collection.

Thank you for your contribution of books or for your purchases!
