New Membership Levels
In recent years we have noticed some confusion concerning the differences in various levels of membership with Curtis Friends. This has been particularly evident at our Annual Book Sale’s Thursday night sale for members-only (previously known as the “Preview Sale” and now referred to as the “Member Appreciation Sale”).
In order to bring clarity to membership and fairness to all, we have changed our membership levels from Individual/Family and Business to Silver, Gold, and Platinum:
| Membership Level |
Cost |
# of Books at Member Appreciation Sale |
| Silver |
$10 |
10 |
| Gold |
$20 |
20 |
| Platinum |
$30 |
30 |
You may still join Curtis Friends for the same low price of $10 (Silver), or you may choose to contribute more as a Gold ($20) or Platinum ($30) member. Donations of more than $30 will make you a Platinum member, with the balance of funds noted as a donation to the library. The number of books you may buy at the Member Appreciation Sale will be based on your level of membership (10 books for Silver, 20 for Gold, and 30 for Platinum).
Regardless of your membership level, you can be sure that your contribution is helping make our great library an even more valuable asset to the community.
If you are currently a member of Curtis Friends (whether Individual/Family or Business), your membership remains as is until the expiration date on your membership card. At that point in time you may re-join Friends as a Silver, Gold, or Platinum member.
