July 20, 2011 – Continuing your investment journey

  • The best way to learn is by doing.  And the best way to master something is by doing it over and over – in other words, practicing.   This is the theory behind Wall Street Survivor (WSS), an online investing simulator that allows you to “invest” without the fear and lack of confidence that often accompanies a new venture.  At our July MWFW event, we introduced WSS to the participants, followed by an email invitation to take part in an investment “contest”.  To participate in this contest, follow the instructions here (if you did not receive an email invitation, request one from Ellen ( ; or go to WSS and open an individual account to practice on your own.  Either way, you will “get” $100,000 to invest with, and have full access to all of the features at WSS.  Try it and have fun with it!  If you have questions, contact Ellen or Martin (
