Open Space and Recreation Task Force
APPENDIX B-3: NINE LECTURES ON PARKS, RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE
The Task Force organized a nine-part series of community discussions in cooperation
with Bowdoin College and the Curtis Memorial Library. Seven lectures were held at the
Moulton Union on the Bowdoin campus. The two others were held at the Curtis
Memorial Library.
Speakers were invited to discuss their experiences on a particular open space topic and
held Q&A with the public. Up to 25 audience members participated at each discussion.
Task force members produced notes of each presentation. Community Cable TV recorded
the presentations and broadcasted them several times. Advertising support for the series
was provided by the Times Record.
