Who Are the Friends of Curtis Memorial Library? Anyone who uses the library and values its importance in the community can be a Friend! The Friends are volunteers who enhance library services through a variety of activities. Although the library is supported mainly by public funds, the Friends provide extra support that allows for more programs and special purchases. With the resources provided by contributions and donations, the Friends make an annual gift of money and equipment to the library. The Friends also organize and sponsor the library's annual book sale and the Children's Resource Handbook. You are invited to be a Friend, giving additional support to Curtis Memorial Library. The Friend's budget comes from membership contributions, donations, the annual book sale and other special projects. Anyone who values the importance of the library in our community is encouraged to join the Friends. Pick up a contribution envelope at the library, or call 725-7242 ext. 219 and ask for one.
