Family Arts Festival held annually Brunswick Town Mall in September. Second Friday Art Walk occurs in Brunswick and Topsham (Third Friday in Bath). Arts Downtown and All Around held over a weekend in December.
Smudge Art Studio for Kids

Smudge provides a unique approach to art making for children ages 2-9. Our open hours, birthday parties, and special events focus on the creative process while using a variety of media. Smudge aims to maintain a fun, supportive and instructional environment that will allow children to develop their artistic skills. Summer camp sessions for ages 2 – 12 are offered as well.

Spindleworks is a non profit art center for adults with disabilities and a program of the Independence Association of Brunswick Maine, whose mission is to help children and adults with disabilities achieve full and inclusive lives in their chosen community.
Coastal Youth Orchestra
The Coastal Youth Orchestra provides an opportunity for string players as well as wind and brass students in the mid-coast region to experience the thrill and challenge of ensemble performance. It is open by audition to string students ages 7 – high school and advanced wind, brass and percussion students. Rehearsals are held Tuesdays at Mt. Ararat High School.
Portland Symphony Orchestra

Explore the different families of orchestral instruments while introducing children (ages 3 – 7) to live symphonic music through fun and interactive programs with PSO musicians. The concerts are 35-40 minutes in length and take place at various locations around the state. For the Brunswick area the Kinderkonzerts are located at the Crooker Theater, Brunswick High School on 116 Maquoit Road.
Portland Symphony Orchestra

Students (ages 8 – 12) hear the full PSO playing richly diverse styles of music, while learning about the elements of orchestra music and instruments. Held at Merrill Auditorium at the Portland City Hall, these concerts are approximately 50 minutes in length.
Maine Youth Orchestra

Formerly Brunswick Regional Youth Orchestra, this non-profit organization gives young musicians the unique experience of performing with a full orchestra. Auditions are typically held each fall and spring. Alternative contact number is 846-5535.
Josephine Cameron Songwriting for Kids

Josephine Cameron offers summer workshops at Bowdoin College: Songwriting for Kids, Fiction Writing for Kids, and Poetry Writing for Kids. She also offers school and community presentations throughout the year, as well as a limited number of private lessons.

Music Together is a music and movement classes for infants, toddlers and preschooler with their parents and caregivers. Classes take place on Tuesday and Friday mornings in Brunswick and on Wednesday morning in Bath. Activities include fingerplays, scarf dances, singing games and instuments jams. These 45 minute, family classes, take place weekly, with a trained teacher.

Matt Looisgian offers a variety of musical programs for children and families, including Songbook Sing-Alongs, Muscial Birthdays, in-home Music Groups, and Music Together.
Happy Day Music

Happy Day Music is primarily an Early Childhood Music and Movement Program held at your child’s daycare or preschool for children ages 2 and up. Classes are also offered to families in the community from time to time.
