Faces of Curtis: Jan Wilk
Jan has served the library in so many ways – first on the Friends Board, President of the Board, the Long Range Planning Committee, the Development Committee and perhaps most significantly, Chair of the Capital Campaign that built the functional and beautiful addition to the library we now call home.
Sitting with Jan recently in the sun-filled mezzanine that bridges the historic 1904 Building to the classically modern addition, she is gracious in recognizing so many whose vision and tireless efforts helped to create this institution which is so vital to the community.
Once a place where children borrowed their first readers, today, Curtis now offers hundreds of programs for toddlers to teens to seniors, and circulates nearly 400,000 materials that speak to all ages and interests.
“It’s extremely satisfying to see something you’ve been a part of thrive and serve the community so well.”
