Faces of Curtis: Eric Anderson

Eric Anderson

Eric Anderson

It could be any day of the week, but every Wednesday without fail you will find Eric Anderson in the library: browsing, reading, volunteering or helping with a program.

Eric is your usual retired classics major-attorney with graduate degree in media-professor at the University of Cincinnati who relocated to Harpswell.

Actually, he is a South Portland native and searched for a retirement community with a college community and vibrant public library. He and his wife Rosemary landed in the Brunswick area; they couldn't be happier.

Eric has helped with Cornerstones of Science programming from its beginning over a decade ago. He still volunteers regularly, and now shares his volunteer talents with the Bowdoin Art Museum and Maine Maritime Museum a well as Curtis.

Explaining his connection to Curtis Library Eric said, "Any library attracts my attention. I value reading as an activity above all else, now even with all the electronic device. (I use my Kindle when I'm away from home.). . . The library remains the repository of information and provides access for everyone."

He is glad to have found his home at Curtis.
