Faces of Curtis: Bonnye Sensenig
She remembers coming to Curtis as a child with her parents, and as a young adult when the library had relocated to the old high school during construction.
Bonnye has returned to Brunswick and now her 2 1/2-year-old daughter asks to walk to “her favorite place” as often as possible.
As Marketing Coordinator at BEK, Inc., the technology company her father, Gil Buthlay, started in their basement 15 years ago and now employs 22 people in two locations.
Bonnye explains their corporate philosophy: “We’re a small business. There are many wonderful nonprofit organizations in the community.
Charitable giving is important to us, but we have a limited budget. We are able to support a few local organizations that have a great impact on the quality of life in the community, where we can see our support directly at-work. Curtis Memorial Library is just that place.”
BEK also maintains the library’s computer network servers – ensuring the backbone of our technology operations run smoothly.
