York County
A LONG EARED OWL was seen in York Village and the SNOWY OWL continues to be seen at the Nubble Lighthouse.
A few NORTHERN GANNETS were seen off shore from Eastern Point at Biddeford Pool.
At the Saco Yacht Club at different times this past week there were: 1 PIED-BILLED GREBE, 1 DOUBLE-CRESTED and 2 GREAT CORMORANTS, up to 5 HOODED and 13 COMMON MERGANSERS, 1 BALD EAGLE, and a SONG SPARROW.
Greater Portland and western Maine
A PINE GROSBEAK was in a yard in the Willowdale Section of Scarborough.
At Two Lights in Cape Elizabeth there were 68 PURPLE SANDPIPERS and 1 NORTHERN GANNET.
At East End beach in Portland the SNOWY OWL is still being seen along with an adult ICELAND GULL.
Several AMERICAN ROBINS, a NORTHERN FLICKER, and a NORTHERN HARRIER were seen at Maine Audubon's Gilsland Farm Sanctuary in Falmouth.
There were 8 COMMON REDPOLLS and several WILD TURKEYS in Bridgton.
A ROBIN was seen in Harrison.
A BARRED OWL was seen in Richmond
Midcoast
On Monhegan this week there were 4 BALD EAGLES, SNOWY OWL, FOX SPARROW, and TWO CAROLINA WRENS seen last Tuesday. Also seen were RED and WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCHES, DOWNY WOODPECKER, MOCKINGBIRDS, WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS, JUNCOS, CARDINALS, and ROBINS.
Eastern Maine
RED CROSSBILLS were seen in Bar Harbor.
A flock of 40+/- BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS have been feeding at a crabapple tree on Maine Road in Bradley.
COMMON REDPOLLS were at feeders in Charlotte.
Several BALD EAGLES were seen at the Denny's River.
A CAROLINA WREN and a FOX SPARROW are at a feeder in Machias.
A BELTED KINGFISHER was at the head of Long Cove in Deer Isle.
At least 40, and perhaps as many as 150 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were at the intersection of Ridge Road and Rt.172, in Sedgwick.
Central Maine
A BALD EAGLE, GLAUCOUS GULL, and BARROW'S GOLDENEYE were seen at Fort Halifax in Winslow. Three BARROWS GOLDENEYES, 2 AMERCIAN WIDGEON, and a BELTED KINGFISHER were seen in the Kennebec River, also in Winslow.
A 2nd year ICELAND GULL was in Bangor by St. Joseph's Hospital.
A NORTHERN GOSHAWK was in Orono, near College Ave and Route 2, sitting in a tree.
HOODED MERGANSERS were seen on the Stillwater River in Old Town.
A NORTHERN SHRIKE was located in downtown Brewer.
2 SONG SPARROWS were seen in Benton on Wyman Rd.
In Belgrade there were 20 COMMON REDPOOLS.
Northern Maine
In Houlton there were 30-40 COMMON REDPOLLS, CARDINALS, EVENING and PINE GROSBEAK, GOLDFINCH, TREE SPARROW, DARK-EYED JUNCOS AND WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS, and MOURNING DOVES.
A NOTHERN CARDINAL was at a feeder in Woodland.
A ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was seen in Castle Hill, west of Presque Isle.
COMMON REDPOLLS and a PILEATED WOODPECKER were in Fort Kent.
