A SAGE THRASHER, was seen several times by numerous observers in the vicinity
of Sohier Park at Nubble Lighthouse in York.  This bird is a verified
sighting. It was reported as an adult in "crisp plumage".  The last sighting
was Tuesday afternoon November 20.  So good luck! This appears to be a first
for the state.
York County
A CAROLINA WREN was in York Harbor.  At Nubble Lighthouse there was a
GRASSHOPPER SPARROW and a LAPLAND LONGSPUR.  At the Cliff House also in York,
there were 2 RED-THROATED LOONS, BLACK GUILLEMOT, HARLEQUIN DUCKS, a KING
EIDER, and1 RAZORBILL.
A KING EIDER was along Marginal Way in Ogunquit.
The list from the Sanford Sewage Ponds included 14 COMMON REDPOLLS, 4 SNOW
BUNTINGS, 150+ RING-NECKED DUCKS, 45 BUFFLEHEAD, 5 GREATER SCAUP 22 AMERICAN
GOLDENEYE. 50 + RUDDY DUCKS, 1 NORTHERN PINTAIL, 1 AMERICAN WIGEON, and 1
ICELAND GULL.
A FOX SPARROW and 2 BLUEBIRDS were observed in Berwick.
Two WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were in Cape Porpoise.
A FOX SPARROW was in Arundel.
While driving from Hollis to Limington a little after dusk, a SNOWY OWL was
flying along the road.
A SNOWY OWL was at Eastern Point at Biddeford Pool.  NORTHERN GANNETS were
seen offshore.
At the Hills Beach section of Biddeford Pool there were 2 CAROLINA WRENS, 15
WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS, and 12 GOLDEN and 6 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER.
A COMMON SNIPE and a NORTHERN HARRIER were in Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco.
Greater Portland and western Maine
A YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was seen at 94 East Grande Ave in Pine Point in
Scarborough along with a male and female WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS.
A FOX SPARROW was seen in Cape Elizabeth.
At East End beach in Portland there was a BARROW'S GOLDENEYE.
Fifteen TURKEYS, 1 BARRED OWL, and EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen in Pownal.
In Brunswick this week there were EVENING GROSBEAKS, WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS,
PINE SISKINS, and 3 YELLOWLEGS.
Central Maine
Good birds in Turner included: 3 AMERICAN PIPITS, PINE GROSBEAKS, 5 COMMON
REDPOLLS, 90 HORNED LARKS, 1 EVENING GROSBEAK, and a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER.
There were three different first-winter ICELAND GULLS on the roof of a
building at Dysart's Truck Stop at Exit 44 of I-95 around noon today.
At Belgrade Stream there were PINE and EVENING GROSBEAKS.
Northern Maine
In Houlton this week there was a SNOWY OWL, PINE GROSBEAKS, NORTHERN
CARDINAL, COMMON REDPOLLS, and WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS.
An albino RAVEN was seen in Fort Kent.
Midcoast
A PEREGRINE FALCON was preening itself on one of the suspension wires at the
Bucksport suspension bridge in Verona
Eastern Maine
In the Machias-Roque Bluff area along  Routes 1 and 92, there were 20 PINE
GROSBEAKS.  On the University of Maine Machias campus there were 5 SNOW
BUNTINGS, a BALD EAGLE flying along the river and 3 WHITE-CROWNED
SPARROWS on the river bank.
Fifteen BLACK GUILLEMOTS were at Roque Bluffs.
A WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL and 10 PINE GROSBEAKS were in Dennysville.
At Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge there were 10 AMERICAN WOODCOCK and
HOODED MERGANSERS.
I am sorry this is late but we have had computer problems.
The Sage Thrasher was seen on Thanksgiving.  We have not had a report since.
