revised 9/21/00 I. The presentation of exhibits is justified under Policy P-2 Objectives
and Basic Principles "General Library Objectives" section I
E and I F. The Library does not, consider the hosting of exhibits as a
priority as a library service. II. The Use of Library resources shall be limited to stepladder, hand
tools, and available tables. Other materials are the responsibility of
the exhibiting group. III. The Library is not a sales agent for any group. The Library may,
however take the name of an interested buyer and refer the name to a representative
of the group or the individual providing the display. The Library will
not collect funds on behalf of any individual or group. IV. Scheduling: All exhibits/displays must be scheduled with the Administrative
Assistant. V. Installation/Dismantling: The installation and dismantling of any
exhibit or display must be done with minimal disruption to staff and patrons.
For this reason, all installation and dismantling will be conducted at
a time arranged by the Administrative Assistant which will be least disruptive
to Library activities, during regular Library hours. VI. Storage: All Exhibit items must be removed from the Library on the
date of Dismantling. The Library does not have proper or secure storage
space for exhibit items, therefore the Library will not act as a storage
site. VII. Insurance: All exhibitors must carry insurance on their exhibits since the Library has no such insurance. The Library does not accept potential liability for theft or damage. |
