Curtis consistently has the third most active circulation of public libraries in Maine. 38,791 Interlibrary Loan transactions, representing and increase of 25.0% over last year; 20,997 items borrowed from other libraries and 17,794 items loaned to other libraries through the Minerva and Maine InfoNet systems
240,353 Visits to the library, with the average of 707 people coming to the library daily 9,351 Reference questions answered by reference librarians 15,798 Attendance at 638 library sponsored programs in library meeting rooms, and school visits: 2,664 adults attended 68 events, 13,134 children and youth attended 570 events both on site and at schools. Cornerstones of Science events are included, see the COS highlights for details. 8,584 Attendance at 483 non-library group uses of the Morrell Meeting Room and Seminar Room. Meeting space is provided at no charge to local groups for noncommercial activity (donations for facility maintenance is encouraged.
