Bulletin Board Policy

The Library has three bulletin board spaces which have been allocated as follows:

  1. The bulletin board by the back Library west entrance is reserved for Library and Curtis Friends promotional materials.
  2. The bulletin board by the main Library entrance at the front of the building is available for all nonprofit organizations in the community.
  3. The bulletin board in the Library’s front entry way (by the Money Room) is available for any posting that is not on one of the other boards.

Because of heavy demand on the nonprofit bulletin board space, nonprofit organizations are asked to give their materials to the staff at the front desk of the Library. Once a week new materials will be posted on the board and past-date items will be taken down. No item may remain on the nonprofit bulletin board for longer than three weeks except at the discretion of the Library Director.

The bulletin board in the Library’s front entry is cleaned of old materials regularly. It is requested that users of this space be respectful of other groups’ materials and not post over or pull down those materials.

At the discretion of the Library Director anyone misusing the bulletin boards by covering up someone else’s materials or pulling down someone else’s materials, may be asked to take down their own materials and not use the space again.

The Library does not advocate, endorse or evaluate in any way the content of bulletin boards and does not consider the maintenance of Library bulletin boards a priority Library service.
