Snapshot Day 11-9-2010
Tuesday, November 9, 2010 was Snapshot Day at Curtis Memorial Library. On Snapshot Day Curtis was one of multiple libraries across the state of Maine that collected photos, statistics and quotes from our users as a way of summarizing the tremendous use and support of Maine libraries by Maine citizens. Open House at Curtis 9-21-09
On Monday, September 21, 2009 Curtis Memorial Library held an open house to celebrate all that is new and exciting at the library. Among many events were included classes on new databases such as Ancestry.com and A-Z Maps, the introduction of a new library logo and a jazz ensemble making music in the library.
Community Day 9-12-2009
On Saturday 9-12-2009 Curtis Memorial Library joined with emergency first responders throughout the area to provide an "Emergency Preparedness Day" at the library. Information and materials were provided to help local residents plan their preparations for dealing with emergencies. A pilot project of the National Library of Medicine.
