I have been a photographer since I was a child borrowing my mother’s cameras as I was growing up in Lynn, MA.
In the mid-2000s, I parked my truck and began walking everywhere. This slowed me down and allowed me to discover a unique eye for the world around me—one that people often miss as they rush around from one place to another.
I never leave home without my camera and even as I move from place to place–Oregon, Alaska, Niagara Falls, and now Brunswick– I continue to capture images that cause long-time residents of various communities to say that they are seeing their town in new and different ways.
I am also very interested in stories and have used my photography both to tell stories and to help tell the stories of others as part of various life story projects.
