Books & Brews – Wednesday, July 26, 6 PM
Please join us at Flight Deck Brewing for a new book discussion group co-sponsored by Curtis Memorial Library and Flight Deck Brewing.
The second meeting of Books & Brews (Wednesday, July 26, 6 pm) will focus on Grunt: the Curious Science of Humans at War by Mary Roach, and will include a sample tasting of a brew selected by the Flight Deck staff to pair with the book.
Several copies of the book are available to check out at the library. So, have fun reading, and then join us on the patio at Flight Deck Brewing (11 Atlantic Avenue, Brunswick Landing), Wednesday, July 26 at 6:00 pm for a lively discussion.
Snacks will be available to purchase from the tasting room. Wednesday’s menu features smoked BBQ from Fahrenheit 225. Alcoholic beverages are sold by Flight Deck Brewing only to individuals age 21 and over.
Flight Deck Brewing was born in the summer of 2016, when a team of beer lovers tasted an opportunity to bring a destination brewery to the thriving community, tourism corridor and college town of Brunswick, Maine.
With over a decade of home brewing experiments, Head Brewer Jared Entwistle brewed professionally at one of Maine’s largest craft breweries before co-launching Flight Deck.
The Flight Deck Brewing Story
His passion for beer ensures the tasting room always has a diverse offering of familiar and experimental recipes.
Located on Atlantic Avenue in the former Small Arms Range of the Brunswick Naval Air Station (now Brunswick Landing), Flight Deck has a multi-use tasting room, brewery, and outdoor patio. For more info about Flight Deck Brewing, check out their website at flightdeckbrewing.com.
