Telescope Open House – Thursday, April 19

cornerstone logoDid you know we’re in the midst of Global Astronomy Month?

If you’re interested in Astronomy or just want a closer look at the heavens above, please stop by the Teen Zone on Thursday, April 19 starting at 6:30 p. m. to learn about the Curtis Memorial library’s new Telescope.

Ron Thompson from the Southern Maine Astronomy Club will teach you how to safely use it (Remember to never look at the sun!)

Mr. Thompson will also talk about astronomy.

The telescope can be checked out and will circulate for one week at a time. Please ask a librarian for more information.

This event is sponsored by Cornerstones of Science.

Skybound was the mind, earthbound the body rests.
