Young volunteers ages 9 and older are invited to participate in a new library program: Adopt a Shelf. The volunteers will be assigned a bookshelf to tend and will keep the books neat and in Dewey or alphabetical order. They will dust the shelf, pull books in need of repair, choose display books, and replace broken book ends. The bookshelf can be checked whenever the volunteer visits the library, preferably once a week.
